Researching the breed

Published by aarp11 under blog Edit This

So I’ve been doing a lot of research lately on the lovely breed of dog known as the poodle. Here’s a little recap of what I’ve learned so far…

The poodle comes in three tailored-for-you sizes: the toy, the miniature, and the standard poodle. The largest variety, the standard, has to measure 15 inches or more at the withers (which basically means at the shoulders). I’ve decided that since I already have my cute smaller dog Lola, I will get a beautiful standard poodle to compliment her. My favorite part about the standard poodle is its elegant, long legs. The standard poo’s long legs makes its gait so noticeable and elegant.

Another thing I learned about the poodle is that it was originally bred as a hunting dog, mainly for ducks in France. That means that the foo foo image of the poodle isn’t the whole picture. This dog is a tough and very intelligent hunter. So really, the poodle is a combination of style and substance. I think this is why I love, love, love the poodle.

I’ll be continuing my research on the poodle. And, I was thinking about contacting the breeder that I know and telling her that I want to put a deposit down. What does everyone think??
